Just hafta know......know what I mean?
I understand there is a bonafide expert out there in the wilds.....who is quite an expert on the steel guitar. He is supposed to be quite humble and shy and therefore I likely will need the assistance of all you hysterical/oooooooops! Historical Forumites to assist me in solving this caper. Okay?
This fellow once was a "PFC".......
He went by the name of "EDDY ROAN"....
He visited Europe several decades ago....
He was an avid supporter of steel guitar..
At one time, he lived in Larson,Washington
This steel guitar fan is one of those guys you'd really enjoy knowing and having in your corner, so I'm told. He also used to write articles about our favorite instrument.
WHO? Is this MYSTERY MAN?
ANYONE KNOW?

Ray: I really got thrown for a loop with that post. I knew that name but couldn't put a face or story on it. Try to imagine how stupid I felt when I realized it was me.
I was so young then !! 19 to be exact and I was so into steel guitar and Jerry Byrd that I figured, with a little help from Millie Annis, I would need a stage name. I was also an Eddy Arnold and Lil' Roy fan and you can tell that by the name I made up. I have never seen it since then until you put it up.
1951....seems like a hundred years ago !!
Regards, Paul

That's what I like about steel guitar players. Most are humble, sensitive, and caring.......some others, are, hummmmm, oh well, absent minded.
Still others are quick to rush to one's side to remind them how "really old" they actually are.
Thanx guys! I was hopin' this might stir some fading memories.
