Chas Smith. Yes, it's true! Chas will accept an Academy Award, March 2nd, not for his pedal steel work, but for structural engineering work he did on the Bulldog motion control camera crane. The award will be presented for Technical Achievement. Congratulations Chas, and may your fee go UP!!!

Steel guitar is just one small corner of Chas Smith's "world", as he likes to call it. He is truly an amazing guy with so many talents....and cool stuff lying around everywhere! Congrats, pal!!!!
