B.J. Cole: "The Heart of the Moment"

Post by Jim Cohen »

This is a stunning recording; absolutely gorgeous. Almost all steel guitar and cello. Original music that will take your breath away.

I think this is much better than his earlier "Transparent Music." CD. I think it represents real growth on B.J.'s part. BTW I am pretty sure he is playing with a MIDI unit on some of the songs.

I am looking forward to hearing his "Stop The Panic" CD which I haven't got yet.

Hi you 2, I just ordered a used copy of the
CD Jim was raving about w/cello & steel. My
son played cello in school & I started playing steel in my senior year (When Bobbe
was about 7!) I'm trusting Jim's taste....after all any one that loves western swing can't be that wrong!

I have heard "Stop the Panic". What he is doing is incredible. The electronic/dj scene is so vital these days, and BJ is contributing some very interesting music with his pedal steel guitar. And his music with Sting is also well worth lstening to.
