Mechanic in the NYC area

Post by David Friedlander »

Hey Steelers. I've been off the forum for a dog's age.....
My ShowPro needs maintenance......I can send her back to Jeff, who will gladly fix it...but I'm hoping to find someone locally.
The issue is that a few of my knee levers are sticking.
My RKL raises strings 1 and 2, and lowers string 6 a whole step. Kinda complicated to get just right,
My LKV is just "sticky"
Maybe it;'s because the guitar is 10 years old...needs maintenance?

Dave Grafe is great!
We were able to sort out the knee lever issue.
We worked together which was incredibly informative for me.
I know how to make some adjustments under the hood- Dave was able to identify why the knee levers were stuck- it was a relatively easy adjustment once he found the issue.
I walked away with a fully functional SHowPro and a better understanding of how it works
Thanks Dave!!!
