I'm very sorry to report the passing of Torben Koch. Torben was a great player and friend to many of us in the steel guitar community.

Turbo was a good friend, although we never got to meet in person. He would call me every year on my birthday, and we would have long conversations about whatever was happening in our own part of the world (he was from Norway). He had hoped to make a trip to the USA so we could meet, but unfortunately that didn't happen.
