Nick Reed,
You call us jerks ?. I feel everyone was very polite when talking about your remarks.

My feeling is...say what you want to say...but say it in a respectful way.

Bob.

Nick didnt call anybody Jerks. He said Jenks, short for Jenkins.Nick reed suprisingly is one of the few friends I have since I moved to Nashville. He has gone out of his way to try to make me get used to Nashville. He is really a nice person.I wanted to throw in my two cents.

Nick Reed was the charter president of the Nashville steel guitar club, NTSGA (I think this is correct) and has over a thousand posts on the forum. As far as playing goes, he routinely starts a thread called "Where's yer gig this weekend" or something like that. So he definately plays steel.

I would like to add that Nick Reed owns or manages a radio station in the Nashville area that promotes steel guitar. He asked me some time ago to send him some of my
recorded steel instrumentals and he would like to feature me, a "commoner" in the steel guitar world, on his station. I consider him yet another friend that I have never met but hope to some day.

Nick Reed has been around here as long as I can remember. He has been a pretty staunch supporter of the steel guitar for a very long time. I think that sometimes his posts seem abrupt, when in reality, it's just the way he writes. He and I have had some fun with each other over the last several years on the forum, but it's been really pretty good natured. I just urge folks to realize that the written word does not convey the wink, or smile, or many of the nuances that we THINK we are getting across.....

Ok...now that I said all these nice things Nick, can I please have a couple of your Emmons? Image

It would not be supprising if some members of this Forum were asking themselves exactly the same questions about this fellow..... however I for one, would rather not know.
