I want the Sonny Burgess steel job....

Post by Steve Stallings »

Seriously, who is the lucky person playing for this guy? I just got his "When in Texas" CD and all I can say is...wow! The CD is using Emmons, Garrish, Bouton, and Morse. No mention of his band.

Sonny is definately a guy I'd like to meet and shoot the breeze with. I'm not sure who he's working with, at least in the sense of a regular band.

Well.....since I couldn't take another steelers job, I did the next best thing.
I contacted his management in Nashville and we are in the process of setting up some future joint bookings. We play in an area where he has some good airplay and a receptive college audience, but has not actually penetrated this market. Since we can provide sound and lights and also open, it should be a win-win slam dunk Image

Now if I can just figure out the second phrase of the steel kick on "When in Texas".
Must be some special buddy pedal! lol
