Hello All;
Well; looks as if all of us will get LOTS of practice done this week-end as i see the Forum will be down most of the week-end as b0b is doing an upgrade.That is inbetween the shakes & withdrawls from not having the Forum!! Enjoy the time off!!
Ron
During the forum "outage", any of you who would like to drop by the "forum type" steel site that I started a couple of years ago, are welcome.
It is a Christian based steel guitar board, although everyone is welcome regardless of their faith. While our membership is not nearly as large as this one, it is a great bunch of folks who post there. So, if you feel to much withdrawal, drop on in.
There are several things you can do to pass the time away: Practice, or at least change that pesky 3rd string. Feed the fish for a change. Backup your email address book to floppy disk. Stuff all of your junk mail into those "No postage required" envelopes, and let them see how it is to get junk mail. It will be next week before you know it!
Oh well i have two gigs this weekend which will help pass the time, the one tonight is in The Black Isle, the way the snow is comming down here just now it`ll probably be white before i get there. The other is tomorrow in Aberdeen, that road is not too clever when there`s snow and wind. I hope i get back in time for the re-opening of the forum. I can`t imagine life without it.
Keep up the good work guys this forum is brilliant.
I should be able to do the move in 3 or 4 hours tomorrow afternoon. The main thing that will take some time is propogation of the new address on the Internet. Those of you who connect via the major services will probably have access sooner than others.
I'm not sure if you will notice the speed difference at your end, but I'm sure enjoying T1 speeds at Forum Central! They just turned it up this morning. WhooHooo!!!!

We missed you ole buddy!
wow...I thought, "man, this is great, I could concentrate on playing not reading steel guitar". After one day I realized how much I'm addicted to this small world. hard to be without it.

Man I had it double bad... No forum, and I went to vistit my girlfriend's family. They don't drink. At all. So, good little Mikey followed suit and had the "double shakes" all weekend. But I'll have to admit that first beer back felt a lot better than my first post back! (no offense, bOb...)
Bob you could always call Bobbe Seyless and have him fly up to help you.He might even bring that guitar he had in the store the other day if he has not sold it. The new SWINEATONE with flip out ash tray,drink holder and Speddy West button. It also sports back leg wheels and a gear shift to help with fast licks.
