Re: Favorite DAW for Windows 11
Stopped using Studio One and switching to Reaper. Studio One is too expensive for what I will do ($20/month) and if I buy Reaper, it's only $60, one time.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .
Playing for 55 years and still counting.

I don't like subscriptions either. I use Studio One and have the perpetual license. You pay one time and you own it. Reaper seems to be popular for home studios. If I left Studio One for some reason, that's probably where I'd go. I've been with Studio One since it's start about 15 years ago. I know it, and we get along pretty well.Richard Sinkler wrote: 15 May 2025 8:02 am Stopped using Studio One and switching to Reaper. I'm a Linux user so Ardour is my workstation of choice it also runs in windows & Mac os. The learning curve was high, but it is better documented now, and the price (free) is right. I capture tracks on my Zoom r16, and import into Ardour for mix down. Easy workflow for me!
Mostly junque with a few knick-knacks that I really can't do without!

Re: +1 for Reaper
It downloaded easy thanks for sharing that.Tim Kowalski wrote: 22 Mar 2024 7:23 am I also recommend Reaper for your DAW. It is very powerful, customizable and there are many YouTube videos to help you learn the program from basic recording to advanced features. I have been using it for years and haven't found anything that it can't do or a plugin that doesn't work with it.
