sequencer back up ?

Post by Harold Jack Baker »

I just got back in after a long time out. My sequencer went crazy and Alesis wont do anything about it. I'm out in the county and there are no musicians for miles. I have a rythem machine but no way to play it and steel at the same time. Is there such a thing as an inexpensive 6 or 8 channel machine? Harold Jack Baker <texjac@netins.net>

Boy that's a tough one, I'd probably see if I could find a drummer to help keep time (if this is a live gig?) or check the want ads and see if you can buy a used drum machine just to get by with the night. Last resort would be just play what you know and ask for volunteers to pitch in with the singing if you are playing popular standards and it'd be like a group thang, know what I mean..Good luck, Bronco Billy in L.A.

Your computer can be a drum machine or metronome with a free program written by a steel player named Sonbone. Go to http://www.geocities.com/Nashville/9752/index.html and download Basic Beats.
