....quiting smoking is a snap. I quit cold in 1982 (after a cancer scare) and after five or six years I hardly ever wanted one anymore!..... Image www.genejones.com

As long as we're telling stuff, to noone in particular, that we just have to tell...

A few months ago I lost the sitar bar that I bought from Paul Franklin Sr.. It was in my Pac-a-Seat, it was there when I went to a gig, it wasn't there when I got home.

I searched the Pac-A-Seat for it. I figured it must have been lost in the dark late night pack up. Oh well...

Last week I came home from a gig, opened the Pac-A-Seat and there it was!

I quit cigarettes in '75, took me 6 years to do it and 3 years to get over it. I'm told that it's easier to quit heroin than quit cigarettes and I can tell you that it's a lot easier to quit coke and meth (some of my teeth are mine). Oh and I love playing steel guitar.

Hi Charles....I was sad to hear that the Southern California Western-Swing Society came to an end. It sure wasn't because of a lack of effort by Cathi Parsons! www.genejones.com

...maybe I should have been more precise...I got home from "a" lesson, not my first lesson..I've been around awhile, but the more lessons I get, the better I play and the more I love it...I hope I never stop taking lessons...

...and I've been known to make a few silly comments myself every now and then...

..oh, and thanks for the nice comments about the pictures of the Mass Bash..I had a great time there, hope to get some pictures again this year..

Pat,
You may quit taking lessons but you'll
never quit learning, talk to someone that sound like they know a lot and they will tell
you they learn something every day.

Bill

I got up to four packs of Lucky Strokes a day and when I was 46 I quit. Cold Turkey.

People would ask me how I quit smoking and I would say... i really don't know. And I had seven packs left in a carton.

I think there was some devine intervention giving me the strenth I needed.

Bob.
